- Work Center Supervisor of 7 Telecommunications and
Network Engineers responsible for design, installation, and maintenance of
180+ T3, T1, and ISDN circuits for Top Secret and Sensitive Compartmented
Information level secure networks spanning the globe.
- Managed team of 13 Network Engineers during transition
from legacy telephone system to Cisco Unified Communications Manager and 800
VoIP Phones. Created documentation for population of Global Address List.
Designed quality control measures to ensure new hardware was 100% operational
and users were trained on the use of new phone system before work order was
finalized. Project was completed 3 months ahead of schedule which allowed an
additional $250k in maintenance contracts to be saved.
- Traveled to remote site to train 20 technicians on cable
termination, telecommunications circuits, and troubleshooting techniques.

- Led 6 radio frequency technicians responsible for
maintaining 100% operational capability of ships external communications.
Conducted preventative and corrective maintenance of transmitters and
receivers across entire frequency spectrum, associated antennae equipment
groups, cryptographic equipment, Cisco Routers and Switches.
- Managed Shipboard General Purpose Electronic Test
Equipment program. Accounted for 800+ items valued over $1.2M and ensured
calibration standards were met. Maintained readiness well above fleet average
of 85%.
- Troubleshot and repaired simultaneous casualties to four
high frequency transmitters, restoring communications during battle group
operations. With no repair parts available, cannibalized two idle very high
frequency receivers for required components, enabling complete equipment
repair. Restored communications capability to 100%.
- Designed and installed ships entertainment network,
connecting gaming consoles and personal computers to increase morale and
build esprit de corps.
